Chapter 11

Krishna’s Meera

Geet is sitting in her room in front of Krishna Idol. She is not complaining for anything but her stupid heart or mind which only want small happiness that she feels while sitting with him is now snatched from her fate.
She is married in front of Krishna Ji or in eyes of Krishna still she can say she is married…. After marriage a girl turn into woman but in her case she is neither girl nor woman and she will never ever become a woman.

What she will and what she called herself, Geet Purohit or Geet Dev Khurana… Tears fell from her eyes.

Her mother comes in her room where she is sitting like statue. She wipes tears from her eyes. She is cursing herself for her pain. She saw her disheveled form from head to toe. She held her hand and saw the Henna turn dark brown colour. Last night she decorated her hand of her own but she never ever thought that she decorated Heena on bride’s palm.
Her condition getting is worst and she looks white or just marks on her body which clearly shows some person snatched from her body and just Sindoor on her partition is remaining on her forehead.

She cried for her daughter, “I am so sorry Geet, please forgive your mother… She become Nayanthara mother but yours… I made sin to make you married with Dev and I made sin to not to say anything to anyone coz of humiliation.” She cried for her

She will console her and tell she is not at fault but her mind or body which is not in sense and she overlooked her pain or grieving.
She doesn’t have any complaint with her but her fate.

“Geet say something Bete” Her mother say but she didn’t respond, she need time to overcome from this pain.

It’s Mid-Night her mother is also sit with her when Daadi Ma enter in her room.

“Why you are sitting like this” she said loudly but still control not to wake anyone up

“What are you doing here Maa Ji”

“I am going to rectify the mistake she done”

“She done mistake or your lovely Granddaughter”

“Don’t say anything against Nayanthar, she get scared that’s why she run of, being a mother she didn’t there for her but this girl…who is not our blood”

“Enough Maa Ji, stop favouring her…after knowing that she was at fault still you are with her”

“I am with my blood Bahu, Geet come with me” she said to her but she doesn’t respond

“Maa Ji she is not well”

“She is well I know, she is just pretending so that my Nayanthara don’t get happiness”

Daadi Ma cut her, “He is Nayanthara husband not her” she said in warning tone

“Oh Really, Whom you are telling a lie with me or yourself”

“I am not here to waste time, now everyone is sleeping…she has to come with me” she said, “And Geet you are going to do Parikrama around the Temple without slipper and asked to Lord Krishna Ji to forgive you for your mistake and well-being of Nayanthara” Daadi Ma asked Geet

But she didn’t move a little, “Don’t you hear what I said” she scream

“Maa Ji, are you human or not… She didn’t eat since morning and doing everything…and now you are asking for that”

“If you come between me and my order Bahu the you will see worst”

“What worst is remaining Maa Ji”

“I’ll say to Gyaneshwar you raises you hand while I am teaching her a lesson and he will leave you for sure” she said and she was shocked with her cruelty

She makes her stand but her body is not giving support, so she drag Gert with her. She is doing with her early in the morning when everyone sleep. She drag her till Lake and she asked her to take bath and remove the sign of her marriage coz Nayanthara married with him not she.

When she is not moving she make her walk up to the lake and forcefully dips her head so that water removed her Sindoor from her partition…

She chanted Mantras for forgiveness on account of her and washed her Sindoor. Geet who is already Numb now feeling like her body is paralyse and it is disquietude on its own accord. This pure chilled water wrenched inside.

After completing bath, she drag her outside, she is no energy left to stand but She again drag her till Temple forgetting she is shivering coz of cold water and this prevailing chilly wind at this time makes the matter more worse.

“Geet” she screams when she is closing her eyes.

She shake her body so roughly and makes her stand… Her soul cringed from inside with all these things, “Do 101 Parikrama around the Temple and asked for forgiveness to sit in place of Nayanthara as well as to give Nayanthar a better life with her husband.
In Mumbai

They all did grand welcome to Nayanthara and asked her to enter in-house with full rituals. She did what everyone said. She also feeling good and scared with all these rituals and things.
She is quivering to think what will happen next. She is scared like anything.

They did all the Pooja of Ghrepravesh and take her hand print on wall.
Dev wants to spend some time with her as it’s getting morning and no one is ready to leave them. He wants to saw her and talk to her.

“Can we continue the remaining rituals tomorrow, I am feeling sleepy” Dev make excuses

“Go and sleep, we are performing your rituals with Nayanthara tomorrow” Daadi Ma said

His face hang and he is really cursing everyone in his heart, after seeing his face which is totally worth watching… everyone laughs of his desperation.

“Okay we will perform other rituals tomorrow” Daadi Ma announced, “We all are tired and Bahu also needs rest.” She added and Dev take sign in relief

Everyone teasing him and take Nayanthara to his room who is equally scare with all these things. They makes her sit on bed which is decorated with rose Petal and other flowers.

Dev stand outside his room with his brothers who is teaching him what to do or not. Hold yourself, be patient etc etc…Dev restless to saw her but everyone tease him like he care. Some time later they goes to their room and finally he is standing outside their room. Alone he must say.

Scene Shift

“Mumma” Maan asked permission to enter in his parents room

“Come Maan”

“I’ve left as there was urgent meeting the day after tomorrow”

“Bete can’t you stay for one more day, it’s your brother Reception”

“Mumma I want to but…”

He was cut by Amar, “Let him Go, don’t expect to follow the rituals from him, being elder brother…. You Go Maan” he said to him in rude voice

Maan is keep quiet and his mother nodded her head in affirmation but she is also feeling bad to let him go like this.

Maan immediately packed his stuff and moved to London.

Scene Shift

Dev with thudding chest enter in room….Your happiness get double when you know you is waiting for you, Your Love…Your Life…She Is Your Wife… Only Yours.

“I know Nayanthara we don’t know each other but we have full life to know each other” Dev said to her

He sat with her and she squirm on her place which he noticed, “Please don’t get scared Nayanthara, I am not going to do anything until you are comfortable with me” He assure her but poor Nayanthara is scared for everything.

She calm herself so he is happy, “I am so desperate to saw you, though I imagined that you looks out if this Universe but Can I open your veil”

Nayanthara doesn’t understand why he is asking even, she nodded her head. Dev is happy to get her permission but his bright broad smile left his face when he saw her.

“I did prank or you…You comes in my house to ask for my hand, you are desperate to get married with me…I am not ready for the marriage but my Daadi Ma convinced me to get married with you and you are saying I am doing prank.

“No this can’t be possible” He mummer and tears fell from his eyes.

“This is reality Mr Dev Singh Khurana and you involved me with you in your reality too” Nayanthara speaks to him
