The Proposal

Chapter 5

They all reached Kalbadevi in 2 hours and thanks to Traffic which take so much time to cover the distance.

They don’t have finding difficulty in searching their house. Gyaneshwar Purohit is well know Purohit so everyone knows him so well. They finally reached there, Mr Amar Singh Khurana, Prema Amar Singh Khurana, Savitri Singh Khurana as well as Anwesha Singh Khurana. Anwesha like the place as it is well know place and tourist attractions, he was Purohit in well-known Temple which is famous for its architecture. She is interested in architecture so she wants to go there as well as to meet her going to be Bahbhi.

“Maaf kijiye humne aapko pehchana nahi”

“Mera Naam Amar Singh Khurana hai aur yeh mera pariwar hai, hum aapki beti ke Rishtey ke liye aaye hain” He said to her which is sweet shocked for them

“Please andar aayegi na” She welcome all of them with respect.

Daadi was checking at them, they seems rich as what they are wearing.

They all sat and introduce each other properly when Gyaneshwar Purohit also return from Temple work.

“Suniye Ji, yeh log rishtey ke liye aaye hain” she said to him

He understands who are they after hearing his name, “Aap humare beti se rista karna chahte hain”

“Kyun Purohit Ji Ameer logo Ko achi bahu nahi chahiye Hoti”

“Nahi, aisa nahi hai” he was saying when he saw his daughters are also returned from school.

Her mother is busy in serving them, after all they came here for a proposal.

Geet and Nayanthara also enter the room as they saw some vehicles are there outside their house. They are talking whose cars was that and enter in-house but they stop talking when they hear guest voice.

All of them saw both girls and they both are beautiful, Dev is right girls are beautiful but they start guessing who could be Nayanthara and they instantly liked Geet as she is as described by Dev. She put Duppata on head though they both keep Duppata on head but she looks exactly what Dev described to them.

“Yeh meri betiyan hain” Gyaneshwar said, “Geet… Nayanthara” he said and everyone was little shocked to guessed the wrong girl.

Their son like Nayanthara but Geet look more appropriate but what can they do. Both girls joint their hand says, “Namstey” they replied back to their polite gesture.

“Mere beta Dev do din pehle inspection ke liye aaya tha usse doraan yaha usne Nayanthara ko dekha or pasand kar liya aur Hume bhi Nayanthara bahut pasand hain” Amar directly said to them

Daadi Ma happiness is no boundaries but Nayanthara color changed in pale, she seems like she saw a ghost…. She excused herself and went inside everyone thought she blushed and go from there little did they know she is angry with this proposal. She doesn’t want to do marriage at yet, she is 23 only but her parents seems so happy…she can saw that. Geet also reached there after her.

“What happen Di”

“Who Dev and where he saw me, I’ll kill him….how could he say he wanted to marry me…I am not interested”

“Di don’t talk like that” Geet said in hyper time, they all are outside she is talking like that. She makes her understand.

Geet whose heart skipped so many beats knowing that this proposal is for her, she couldn’t even say that. She was helpless and her parents was so happy so why she become hurdles in their happiness.

Daadi Ma also seems so happy knowing that Nayanthara is liked by all, their parents liked her Di so no confusion but Dev. Her heart asked to her about him but she has no answer of that question.

Scene Shift

“Don’t take decision in haste, talk to her first and then tell your decision to us”

“No Amar Ji we are not talking in haste, I know my daughter she will say what I am saying.” Gyaneshwar convinced him

“Still I’ll wait for your answer” he focussed again

“Ji” he folded his hand and all bid good-bye.

They have so many things to Nayanthara which Gyaneshwar politely denies saying it’s not looking good. Taking this from Groom side.

They will tries to convinced him but he says it’s not our culture and they didn’t go against their culture.

He was more impressed like anything. They are down to earth person and very much into Tradition or follows culture and this makes good impression on all of them, they liked him and his family… Now they are more sure on Dev choice, she proof best daughter in law.

Scene Shift

Dev is waiting for his family desperately, “Dev time will go like before but why you taking tension” Maan asked to him

“Why wouldn’t I Bhai, what if she said No. What would happen there” he said in taking tension

“Dev taking tension leads you nowhere and No girls will say No to you” Maan said

“Maan Bhai, you don’t know her, she is not like other girl and she would say yes to anyone”

“How you are so sure”

“Maan Bhai maybe you think I spend only few minutes with her but I know her inside out, she is pure like Ganga Water but she will do anything for her family though she never harm anyone.” he said to him

“Stop talking about her or I fall for her then believe me I’ll take her from you. What would you do Dev?” Maan asked with smirks

“Bhai” Dev voice says his breath stop for few seconds but he take sigh in relief when He saw Maan is just teasing him.

“Look Bhai you take my breath please Bhai I can’t live without her don’t ever tease me Bhai” Dev said and his voice decipher anguish or hurt.

“Look at your face seems like you lost everything” Maan laughs on his condition

“Why you face turn so pale Bhai, did Bhabhi said No to you” Yash asked to him

“Yash” Dev screams on him

Maan laughs on him more hard, Yash is pulling his legs more… “You know what I am not going to leave you both” Dev said and all brother chasing each other.

“What happen here” Daadi Ma asked in serious voice

“Why you all take so much time”

“We don’t think so we took so much time Dev, do you Amar”

“Nope we went there and come back as soon as possible” Amar said

“Daadi Ma” Dev asked in desperate voice

“What” she asked

“Her parents are impressed with you and we also liked her, her father said yes but we said first talk to her and then tell us” Prema said

“But why you said asked her”

“You are not confident about her Dev” Prema asked

“No Mumma”

“No girl will say No to you and believe me Dev, it’s just formality she will say yes”

All laughs on desperate Dev and he was blushing hard.

Scene Shift

“I am feeling blessed, Krishna Ji Thank You, My Nayanthara get a best marriage proposal” her voice reflect happiness, “Don’t I tell you Bahu My Grand-daughter blessed and ready to rule other and today this proposal tell my prediction comes true”

“Maa Ji I am also happy” she said

“Nayanthara I like this proposal and want you think about it and say yes soon…though everyone likes this proposal but I want you see everything also and I hope you won’t hurt us” her father said

Nayanthara is so much angry and No, she is not going to marry any Dev. She already made her mind.

She can’t say anything to her father, he always tell how to live and do or not to do and she is really fed up of this. She is not going to rule him with her life.

Geet is so quiet and after having dinner she clean everything. She moved from there. She is feeling something going to happen and so her heart ripped with this. Why she don’t know, its may be coz she is cheating someone but he does tell his family na so maybe he saw Di and get ready to marry her.

“What happen Di” Kanha asked

“Nothing Kanha, I am bemused”

“Why”

“I think I am cheating someone but later I think I am not”

“Ask your Krishna Ji and he will give you right way”

“I too want to go and talk to him”

“Don’t go at yet” he asked worriedly

“I’ll go tomorrow” Geet said, “Please Krishna Ji do tell me what I will do and not to do” she said herself.
