Chapter 8

Few days after Haldi function they organized Mehendi Ceremony. It’s compulsory to apply turmeric paste for few days then organized Mehendi Ceremony.

Geet keep herself away from her Nayanthara Di, she didn’t want to make Daadi Ma more angry. She is preparing everything but stay away from her.

Still she is happy as her Maa, Bau Ji and Kanha always there with her. Kanha asked forgiveness to her as she get scolding coz of him.

In Mumbai

They applied Haldi on Dev a day before Mehendi Function, it’s their custom to applied Haldi to groom as well as Mehendi on his small finger.

They also did all the functions at grand level… everyone enjoys time in teasing and talking.

Dev is super happy and after watching her gives him immense pleasure, she is going to be his in one day. He can’t wait for it.

Maan, Yash and Annie tease him like anything, Dev is Dev, he is enjoying this phase… Their home is illuminating happiness and they prayed daily not to cast any bad or evil eye on them.

Tonight they applied Mehendi to Dev and same Mehendi applied to Nayanthara. They quickly do the ceremony and sent it to Nayanthara from Yash Hand.

At Kalbadevi

Their neighbours and families or friends are presented here for Mehendi Ceremony and they all are waiting for Yash, Mr Amar Singh Khurana asked them they send His son with sacred Mehendi.

Yash comes in couples of minutes with Mehendi and he gave to Gyaneshwar and went from they’re saying they all are waiting for him.

Gyaneshwar passed it to his wife as it’s ladies function and what he will do… She took the sacred mehendi and walks upto her daughter who is looking beautiful in green colour Lehenga Choli… Daadi Ma asked her to offer prayer and then applied Mehendi on her palm.

Nayanthara is getting scared with all these things , she is feeling she is going to be ruined her life, having luxurious life is good but sacrifice your happiness is not good.

Geet is offering things to all the people and time to time gives them Tea or snacks which they arranged for them and later they arranged Dinner for all.

“Geet come here and you applied Mehendi first on your sister palm”

“No Aunty, we called some beautician to decorate her hand” she tries to stop her so that Daadi Ma don’t get angry with her without hurting her

“She will do that but first it’s tradition, sister applied Mehendi on her sister palm” she said

She gives small smile and said, “I’ll come Aunty later, firstly I’ve to take care of you all” she politely said

Geet is trying her level best to ignore all these things but everyone aksed about her being Sister.

Her Maa come back after doing prayer when she dashed with Kanha and the bowl of Mehendi fell from her hand, in the mean time Geet saw and saved it from falling on ground, but in that process the Mehendi applied on her palm… Her mother takes her from her hand as she knows Her Mother In Law asked her not to let her touch anything related to Nayanthara. She said Thanks Geet to saved it on time but No one noticed that, it boiled Daadi’s angry to peak, she in her rage slap her so hard and Geet fell on ground and hurt her shoulder. Geet main in pain.

“Maa Ji” she screams

“I told you not to come close to my Nayanthara but you again comes between my Nayanthara happiness” she screams

“Daadi Ma I am so sorry, I want to save Mehendi from falling” Geet who is weeping said to her

“Don’t think you fake Innocence change my view-point, you did it purposely” She gives her back answer

“Maa Ji what are you doing, Geet saved Nayanthara Sacred Things and you blame Geet”

“She didn’t save but she want to snatched it from Nayanthara, don’t fell for her charm…she is just faking.” She said

“Mata Ji, It’s wrong why you are hitting Geet, if Geet was not around then your Granddaughter Sacred Mehendi fell on ground and you can’t even do anything, she saved your granddaughter important thing and you hits her…It’s wrong” her neighbour said when she saw what she did with her.

“Bete It’s not like that, I makes her understand”

She can’t take Mehendi from her hand so she glared at Geet and it’s warning not to show her face and just get lost from here.

“Aunty Daadi Ma didn’t say anything, she is angry coz it’s getting late” Geet said while getting up.

Her mother feel bad for her and her neighbour too as she knows the reality but she can’t say anything to Mata Ji, she is elder and she also doesn’t want to create scene.

Geet wipes her tears when she turn and excused herself saying she has work.

Geet went to her room and crying in front of her Krishna Ji Idol, why she always do that her Daadi Ma don’t want to. She prayed for Nayanthara Di to get happiness…Let see when her prayer will fulfill.

In the other side Nayanthara is sitting quietly and everyone thinks she turn shy coz of marriage or upset as well to leave her house forever. A beautician made come using the Mehendi and decorate her palm… The function end at good note apart from that incident.

Geet also didn’t saw her palm which has patches of dark brown colour Heena on her palm but later in the morning she noticed that and her heart skipped few beats from where her both palm turn dark brown.

“What is this Krishna Ji, don’t do anything which hurt anyone please” she offer quick prayer and goes to complete her house hold work. She has lots of work and she will try not to do any mistake today.

Everyone is so happy, it big day for everyone specially Dev who can’t wait to marry her and makes her his totally and he is not going to wait for that. He wants to show her in front of world that she belongs to his only.

“Krishna Ji when we get married, I can’t wait” He said loudly after waking up early in the morning.

“Wait for next 12 hour then she is yours” Maan said

“Bhai”

“I never knew you are so desperate for any girl”

“When you love someone from bottom of your heart then you understand Bhai… What I am going through… Nayanthara is so beautiful and innocent and her eyes speaks and gives proof of it.” Dev said

Maan is in deep thinking about falling in love, Nope, it’s not possible, you can wait… His means he is not at all desperate…

“You turn Despo Dev”

“When you saw her once, you regret to say that but that time I make her mine…. Bhai you always get best things, person but I got best this time… My Nayanthara is best in this Universe” Dev said

“Dev I am really fed up from your Nayanthara Goodgaan” Maan said

“I am with Maan Bhai” Yash said

“I saw her, she is beautiful but Dev Bhai I like her younger sister more, sometime I feel you praises Geet instead of Nayanthara”

“Nope, you saw her outer self but her sister is good but not matched with My Nayanthara” Dev said

“Yeah…Yeah…Your Nayanthara is best” they all said and laughs on him.

Daadi Ma and his mother enter in room and does the rituals with Groom, Today is his marriage and first they went to Temple to offer prayer and Thank Krishna Ji for this happiness. Later the start marriage preparation.
